Doors Open Toronto - Weekend Trip

‍The YUPs are headed to Toronto!

Each spring, the city of Toronto sponsors Doors Open Toronto, offering free access to hundreds of remarkable buildings rarely open to the public – and others that typically charge admission. Join YUPs for a weekend of architecture, history, and exploration! We will step into some of Toronto’s most fascinating buildings and sites.

Learn more about Doors Open Toronto HERE.

While it is impossible to visit every site open during this event (we wish!), the YUPs have curated a guided experience to lead you through a thoughtfully planned itinerary so you can make the most of this incredible event – and get to know some of our Rochester-area YUPs!

We will head to Toronto on Saturday, May 23rd and spend the day guiding you to our carefully selected buildings, sites, and historic neighborhoods. That evening, YUPs will coordinate a self-pay group dinner to further connect with each other and enjoy a bit of Toronto’s great eats.

To make the most of the day – and enjoy a group dinner – we recommend staying overnight. Those who wish to do so can stay and further explore Doors Open Toronto – or other great must-see sites – on their own.

There will be a pre-trip Meet & Greet on Wednesday, May 6th at 6:00PM at Warner Castle (5 Castle Park) for registrants to meet your fellow travelers, receive the final itinerary and recommended hotel accommodations, and organize carpooling for those interested. If you register, we ask that you please make every effort to attend this meeting.

REGISTRATION:
$15 per person
The cost of registration provides access to the YUPs curated itinerary.

Registration will close EOD on Monday, May 4th.
**Each attendee must register individually.**

Registration runs through The Landmark Society of Western NY, our parent organization. Please keep this in mind when looking for your confirmation email.

Disclaimers:

  1. The YUPs are not responsible for travel, food, or lodging. While we will share hotel recommendations during the Meet & Greet, attendees are responsible for booking and associated expenses.

  2. You will have the option to carpool with a YUPs member. This will require a liability waiver to be signed.

  3. Attendees must have a valid US Passport or Enhanced NYS Drivers License to cross the border into Canada.
