Crash Course in American Architectural History, 19th Century

Love old buildings but have no idea what you’re looking at? In this class, we’ll give you the rundown of American architectural styles from the Colonial era through the 19th century, with a focus on local and regional examples. Learn the names of important architectural styles common in the northeast; some basic architectural terminology; and how to approximately date the buildings you see every day. This class can be taken on its own if you’re not a fan of mid-century modern architecture or you can continue the fun with Crash Course in American Architectural History II – 20th Century.

NOTE: This class will take online through Zoom. You will be emailed a link for the class and directions prior to the class start time.
